1. About us

“Videre UK Dancewear” is owned and operated by Melanie Allan trading as Videre UK Dancewear, a sole trader established in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: info@videreuk.com. For returns or legal correspondence, our geographic address will be provided upon request or when a return is approved.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or placing an order at videreuk.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply in addition to our Privacy Policy, Returns Policy and Shipping Policy.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent/guardian to purchase from the Site.

4. Products & availability

We try to display colours, sizing and availability accurately. Minor variations may occur. We may limit quantities or discontinue products at any time.

5. Pricing, taxes & errors

Prices are shown in GBP. We are not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not charged on orders. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. If we discover a pricing or description error, we may cancel or refuse an order (with a full refund of any amounts paid).

6. Orders & payment

When you submit an order, we’ll email an acknowledgement. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch your items. We may refuse or cancel any order (e.g., suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, lack of stock). We accept major cards and other methods shown at checkout; payment is taken at order placement.

7. Shipping & delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimates are shown at checkout and in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates only and exclude weekends/bank holidays. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery at the address supplied.

8. Returns, exchanges & cancellations

Your statutory rights are not affected. Consumers in the UK/EU have a legal right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of delivery; conditions and exceptions (including hygiene‑sealed items) are explained in our Returns Policy. For faulty items, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in line with consumer law.

9. Accounts

You may create an account to save details and view orders. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity under your account.

10. Promotions, gift cards & discount codes

Promotions are subject to separate terms. We may withdraw or amend offers at any time. Discount codes are non‑transferable, not redeemable for cash and may have expiry dates. Gift cards are valid only for purchases on this Site.

11. User content & reviews

If you post reviews or other content, you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce and display that content on the Site and our marketing channels. Please ensure your content is lawful, accurate and not misleading.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Site (including text, images, logos and designs) is our property or used with permission and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

13. Prohibited uses

You must not misuse the Site, interfere with security features, or use it for unlawful purposes (including attempting to gain unauthorised access or transmitting malware).

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be limited under law. Subject to the foregoing, we will not be liable for (a) any loss of profits, sales, business or revenue; (b) business interruption; (c) loss of anticipated savings; or (d) indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any loss arising in connection with your order will be limited to the amount paid for the relevant products.

15. Events beyond our control

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform due to events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including strikes, courier delays, extreme weather, or disruptions to utilities.

16. Third‑party services & links

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

17. Privacy

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

19. Governing law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have non‑exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the effective date above. If we make material changes, we will endeavour to notify you (e.g., by email or notice on the Site).
